notes:
What you now have in your possesion is quite possibly the greatest live Pink Floyd
performance ever captured. CwtAE and FOS are amongst the best renditions I have ever heard.
The rest of the show is absolutely stellar as well but CwtAE and FOS steal the show.
Gilmour and Rick were exceptional on this night and they’re playing on these two tracks is
enough to make you shed a tear.

I am pleased to present to you a speed and pitch corrected version of this event in history.
Previously this tape was out of pitch and the speed was a bit slow. I have corrected this.
And now for the disclaimer… I do all my speed and pitch adjustment by ear only and not
with the use of comparing against other shows or individual tracks or any crazy tools. I do
not guarantee the speed or pitch to be completely accurate, this is basically my
interpretation of the way I have always wanted this show to sound. No remastering was
applied to this at all (as if it needs any).

I would also like to give a shout out to Mr. Simpson for originally transferring this gem
from the Hi-Fi source and clarifying the lineage for us. This was previously circulating
under 1st gen Hi-Fi but has been determined not to be the case. The master tape had been
lost soon after the event and the taper was left with only his 1st gen backup which all
other versions of this show come from in one way or another.

I sincerely advocate the use of substances while listening to this ;-)

Enjoy!!!

Notes:

Not previously circulated as with all my masters. This is my 29th transfer in the series. Has it really been 9 months since my last master xfer, wow time just flies. I will rate this show as Ex and the recording as EX- (subjective of course). Two auto tape flips occur, 1st at 08:24 of "Sorrow", barely noticeable and at 07:35 during "Money", very obvious. No NR, EQ, or compression applied.

Enclosed in the Torrent is the ProcessLog, shntool_len file, shntool_info file, FFP File, MD5 file, FFPverify, and SBE's Check. I also included a pic of the masters, recorder w/mic and ticket stub.

Please do not alter any of the files here if you trade or torrent this elsewhere later on.

Enjoy,
Drgiggles1

SCV Podcasts Vol. 46: Syd Barrett #1

Source: Sound Color Vibration

Syd Barrett

The first of many special mixes at Sound Colour Vibration dedicated to the works of one of the most innovative musicians in the last 100 years, Syd Barrett. Syd Barrett was born in Cambridge, England and at a very early age, pioneered the early sound of Pink Floyd. This became the standard for free - psychedelic music of the mid and late 60′s and influenced generations of artists after it. Enjoy this short but sweet podcast and expect many more in the near future. ~ Erik Otis
